Overview:
The USPTO has a unique opportunity in support of the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) to modernize the information technology audio/visual (A/V) collaboration tools used in conference rooms across the USPTO campus and external facilities. Collaboration across the USPTO campus is a critical function in support of the USPTO mission. Collaboration designs and subsequent tools must support employees who telework and support collaborations in remote USPTO locations. The purpose of this requirement is to create and implement a cohesive plan for the design and implementation of next generation collaboration tools that support and enhance communications across the USPTO. There are currently in excess of 300 executive offices, hearing rooms and conference rooms that are not adequately equipped with A/V setups sufficient to meet use demands campus-wide. In addition, some spaces have A/V setups that are different from others, causing inconsistency in functionality and usability. As a result, the USPTO is undergoing an agency-wide electronic improvement initiative for conference rooms including outfitting USPTO facilities and new spaces, updating and improving the Audio Visual (A/V) capabilities of hearing rooms, conference rooms, executive spaces and other meeting spaces across the Alexandria, VA campus, Arlington, VA sub-offices, and the satellite offices.
Scope of Work:
The USPTO has a need to standardize configurations for the design, supply, and turnkey installation of A/V equipment at our Alexandria and Arlington, Virginia Campuses and our Satellite Offices and COOP locations. The USPTO intends to issue call orders against a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for the design, supply and/or installation of A/V upgrades based on the BPA SOW.
Deliverable:
Discipline Consulting works with the business units to standardize A/V setups for executive offices/team rooms/conference rooms/hearing rooms in order to formalize requirements for requisition, increase ease of use and maintenance, and ensure A/V equipment is fully compatible with existing infrastructure and suitable for future upgrade thus maximizing investment dollars based on the standard configurations listed below. Standard configurations will specify A/V equipment type with specific components and network/audio connectivity to ensure compatibility with infrastructure and suitable for future expansion/upgrade. Discipline Consulting evaluates the conference rooms and equipment across the USPTO campus, designs and implements new designs that exceeds and enhances the current and future capabilities. The project requires the survey, assessment, design and installation of audio/visual equipment and room audio systems integrated with the USPTO offices and conference rooms at its headquarters location in Alexandria, Virginia as well as all USPTO locations across the United States. Discipline Consulting designs, supplies, installs, and maintains all A/V installations and any software/accessories in the offices and conference rooms located at USPTO facilities in a condition ready for immediate use, occupation, or operation located.
